Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: April 21, 2026
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs your use of all products and services provided by Skode Technologies Private Limited ("Skode," "we," "us," or "our"), a private limited company incorporated in India with registered office at Thirumangalath, Chelavur, Kozhikode – 673571, Kerala, India, including Skode CRM and Skode Flow. This AUP is incorporated by reference into our Terms of Service. Violation of this AUP may result in suspension or termination of your account.
Incorporation of upstream AI provider policies. When you use any Skode feature that invokes an external AI provider (for example, the AI Connector that links to ChatGPT or Claude, or Voice AI features powered by OpenAI Whisper), you are also bound by:
Where those policies impose stricter obligations than this AUP, the stricter provision applies. You must pass equivalent obligations to anyone you permit to use Skode’s AI features on your behalf, including your own end-users.
1. Prohibited Activities
You may not use the Services, or permit anyone to use the Services through you, to:
1.1 Illegal activity, fraud, and sanctions evasion
- Violate applicable local, national, or international laws or regulations.
- Facilitate or promote fraud, money laundering, trafficking, or sanctions-evasion. You must not use the Services if you are located in, or ordinarily resident in, a US-, EU-, or UN-embargoed jurisdiction (including Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria, Crimea, Donetsk, and Luhansk) or if you appear on any applicable restricted-party list.
- Violate export-control laws.
- Infringe the intellectual-property rights of others.
1.2 Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) and exploitation of minors
- Solicit, generate, store, transmit, or distribute child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or any content that sexualises, grooms, or exploits minors, in any form (including AI-generated depictions). This is the most severely enforced category of this AUP.
- Use the Services to facilitate contact with a minor for the purpose of grooming or exploitation.
Skode reports apparent CSAM to the NCMEC CyberTipline (as required by 18 U.S.C. § 2258A where US jurisdiction applies) and to the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal (India), and cooperates with law-enforcement investigations. Accounts involved in CSAM are suspended immediately, without notice.
1.3 Terrorism, violent extremism, and weapons
- Plan, promote, celebrate, or provide operational support for terrorism or mass-violence.
- Develop, design, procure, or operate chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear (CBRN), or cyber weapons capable of mass harm.
- Attack, disrupt, or compromise critical infrastructure — energy, water, emergency services, healthcare systems, financial systems, or communications.
1.4 Civil-rights and surveillance abuse
- Run mass surveillance of populations, or biometric identification of individuals in public spaces, without a lawful basis and applicable oversight.
- Score or grade people in ways that disadvantage them based on protected characteristics (caste, race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or similar).
- Facilitate human trafficking, forced labour, or commercial sexual exploitation.
1.5 Deception, manipulation, and election interference
- Create, distribute, or attempt to distribute non-consensual intimate imagery, or deepfakes of real people without their consent.
- Run political-persuasion campaigns or attempt to manipulate elections, voters, or referendums, including through micro-targeted disinformation or AI-generated content misrepresented as human.
- Impersonate individuals, organisations, or public figures in a way likely to deceive, or conduct coordinated inauthentic behaviour on any platform.
- Present AI-generated legal, medical, financial, or tax advice as coming from a licensed professional.
1.6 Self-harm and harassment
- Encourage or provide instructions for self-harm, suicide, or eating disorders.
- Dox, stalk, threaten, harass, or intimidate any person.
1.7 Harmful or abusive content generally
- Store, transmit, or distribute content that is defamatory, obscene, threatening, harassing, or discriminatory.
- Distribute malware, viruses, ransomware, spyware, or other harmful code.
- Host or distribute phishing content designed to deceive users.
1.8 Security and platform abuse
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Services, other customer accounts, or systems connected to the Services.
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Services.
- Launch denial-of-service or flood attacks.
- Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Services except under our Responsible Disclosure Policy.
- Bypass or attempt to bypass security measures, rate limits, or access controls.
- Share a single Skode user account between multiple individuals.
1.9 AI safety and model abuse
- Attempt to bypass safety features of upstream AI models through prompt injection, jailbreaking, or instructing a model to produce prohibited content.
- Use AI outputs from the Services, including the AI Connector, to train, fine-tune, or develop a competing generative-AI model or service.
- Input into any AI prompt or tool call: full payment-card numbers, full government identification numbers, passwords or API keys, or protected health information (unless a separately signed agreement expressly covers it). Skode does not sign Business Associate Agreements.
1.10 Spam and unsolicited communications
- Send unsolicited bulk email, SMS, WhatsApp, or other messages through the Services.
- Use the Services for email harvesting or list building without lawful basis.
- Violate the Indian Information Technology Act 2000, CAN-SPAM (US), TCPA (US), GDPR (EU/UK), or any other applicable anti-spam or telecommunications regulation. See our Anti-Spam Policy for details.
1A. AI-specific operating rules
- Disclose AI use where law requires. Comply with any applicable disclosure obligation, including EU AI Act Article 50 and US state rules on chatbot disclosure (for example, California SB 1001), when presenting AI outputs to your own end-users.
- Keep a human in the loop for high-stakes decisions. Do not use AI outputs from Skode as the sole basis for decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects on a person — including employment, credit, housing, insurance, healthcare, or law-enforcement outcomes — without meaningful human review and the right of human intervention required under GDPR Article 22 and analogous laws.
- Honour “Do Not Contact” signals. Where a contact in your workspace is flagged DNC or has withdrawn consent, do not use the Services to target them with marketing, AI-generated messages, or automated calls.
2. Content Policies
You are responsible for all content stored, processed, or transmitted through your account. Content must not:
- Infringe on copyrights, trademarks, patents, or other intellectual property rights.
- Contain personally identifiable information of others without proper consent and legal basis.
- Include regulated data (e.g., health records, financial data) unless your plan and configuration comply with applicable regulations.
- Violate the privacy rights of any individual.
We reserve the right to remove content that violates this AUP, but we do not proactively monitor user content. We act upon receiving valid reports of violations.
3. API Usage and Rate Limits
If you access the Services via our API, you agree to the following:
- Rate Limits: Respect the rate limits published in our API documentation. Exceeding rate limits may result in temporary throttling or suspension of API access.
- Authentication: Keep your API keys and tokens secure. Do not share API credentials publicly or embed them in client-side code.
- Fair Use: Do not use the API in a manner that places excessive load on our infrastructure or degrades the experience for other users.
- Data Scraping: Do not use the API to systematically scrape, collect, or harvest data from the Services beyond what is necessary for your authorized use case.
- Attribution: If you build and distribute applications using our API, you must comply with our branding and attribution guidelines.
4. Resource Usage
- Storage: Each plan includes a specified amount of storage. You must stay within your plan's storage limits.
- Bandwidth: Excessive bandwidth usage that impacts other users may result in throttling.
- Computational Resources: AI features and bulk operations are subject to fair use limits based on your subscription plan.
5. Enforcement
We reserve the right to investigate suspected violations of this AUP and take appropriate action, which may include:
- Warning: For first-time or minor violations, we may issue a written warning with instructions to remedy the violation.
- Temporary Suspension: We may temporarily suspend access to the Services while we investigate a reported violation.
- Content Removal: We may remove or disable access to content that violates this AUP.
- Account Termination: For severe or repeated violations, we may permanently terminate your account.
- Legal Action: We may report illegal activities to appropriate law enforcement authorities and cooperate with investigations.
We will make reasonable efforts to notify you before taking enforcement action, except where immediate action is necessary to protect the Services, our users, or third parties.
