# What is a profile?

> In Skode CRM a profile is the record for one person: their contact details, custom fields, tags, conversations, deals, tasks and full history in one place. Profiles are what other CRMs call leads. Everyone on your team with access to the Profiles module can see them, subject to your org’s permissions.

Product: Skode CRM · Topic: profiles · Draft — steps not yet re-verified in the live product

A profile is one person, on one page. Everything your team knows about them — details, conversations, deals, tasks, history — lives there, so nobody has to ask "who is this again?"

## Step 1: One person, one page

Open **Profiles** in the left menu. Every row in the list is one person. Click any row to open their page.

## Step 2: What lives on a profile

Their details (name, phone, email and your **custom fields**), their **tags**, every **conversation**, any **deals** and **tasks**, and a timeline of everything that happened.

## Step 3: Where profiles come from

Profiles are created by hand, imported from a spreadsheet, or arrive on their own — from your forms, your website chat, and conversations in Skode Flow.
