# Assign profiles to your team

> Every Skode CRM profile has an owner. Assign one by hand from the profile page, or set up assignment rules in Settings → Lead assignment rules — with pools (round-robin groups), territories (by region) and skills (by expertise) deciding who gets each new profile automatically.

Unowned profiles are how people fall through the cracks. Give every profile an owner — by hand for one, by rules for all.

## Step 1: Assign one by hand

On the profile page, use the owner control in the header and pick a teammate.

## Step 2: Open the assignment rules

Go to **Settings -> Lead assignment rules**. This is where new profiles get routed automatically.

## Step 3: Choose how routing works

**Pools** share new profiles round-robin across a group. **Territories** route by region. **Skills** route by expertise. Start with one pool of everyone — refine later.

## Step 4: Watch it work

New profiles now arrive with an owner already set. Check the profile header to see who got each one.
